We Need You! 126 is Recruiting for new Co-Directors to take over 126!
As we begin to look forward to the end of lockdown in the coming months and re-opening, 126 is looking to the future and inviting applications for new Co-Directors to lead the organisation forward in joining the ever-growing 126 family.
126 invites applications from individuals who are dedicated to the visual arts sector, supporting artists and to the artist-run ethos. Individuals will need to be passionate about working in an arts organisation, have or be keen to develop new skills in arts administration, project management, financial management, curatorial skills and the many hats directors must wear.
This is a voluntary position with a two-year commitment inclusive of a 6-month probationary and learning period. Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, 126’s team is working remotely, interviews will be held through zoom.
In this instance, applicants are required to be based in Galway City or commit to re-locating or attending the gallery at least two days per week, including a weekly Board meeting on regular days. Applicants must also commit to attending most if not all programmes, events and exhibition previews. Board members are required to invigilate and act as a representative of 126 during their time on the board.
