Circuit Arts Festival is delighted to presents a new initiative – Circuit Project Awards. Due to restrictions over the last 6 months, we were not able to fully realize our 2020 program with physical events but want to ensure the funding is used to support creatives, especially during these times.

Project Awards to the value of 500e will be available across 4 categories: Visual Arts, Spoken Word & Literature, Music, and Street Art. The aim of the award is to support artists with a small financial contribution to allow artists space, time, or resources to commence or advance in a project.

Successful applicants will recieve:

500 Euro.
Support from professional curators and producers who can offer support and advice if required.
Individual feature across our social media platforms.
Automatic entry in Circuit Arts Festival 2021 which is scheduled to commence later in the year, the proposed project can be showcased during the festival, but this is not mandatory.

Who can enter?
All Visual Artists based in Ireland – open but not limited to painting, sculpture, print, ceramics, textiles, fashion, photography, film, digital art.

How to enter?
In your application please include:

A short proposal outlining your project, no more than 500 words.
An up-to-date Artist CV / Artist Statement/ Headshot (to be used on social media if the applicant is successful)
Up to 5 images/video examples of work.

Please send all applications with the subject line ”Visual Art Project Award” to by 12 midnight on April 18th. All successful applicants will be notified the following week and subsequently announced across Circuit / 126 Gallery / Galway 2020 social media platforms.

Make sure to tag submitted work on your social media with #circuitprojectaward or tag @circuit2020 in your story as we will be sharing all applicant’s work where possible.
