*Voluntary roles available: 126 Artist-Run Gallery & Studios is currently seeking voluntary Co-Directors to join the 126 team for a two year term inclusive of a 6-month probationary and learning period. This is a unique leadership position and open for all to apply. Deadline: 23rd of September
Applicants must be dedicated to the visual arts sector, supporting artists and to the artist-run ethos. Individuals will need to be passionate about working in an arts organisation, have or be keen to develop new skills in arts administration, project management, financial management, curatorial skills, installation, education, archiving and the many roles directors must fill.
At present, we are particularly interested in recruiting candidates with an interest in financial management and grant applications but all are welcome to apply. 126 artist-run gallery is committed to offering equality of opportunity to all applicants irrespective of gender, race, civil status, family status, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability or indigenous ethnicity.
All applicants are required to be based in Galway City and commit to a weekly Board meeting on regular days. Applicants must also commit to attending most if not all programmes, events and exhibition previews. Board members are required to invigilate and act as a representative of 126 during their time on the board.
Although previous experience in all areas is not essential, interested candidates are encouraged to review and consider the director criteria when making their applications.
