126 Artist-Run Gallery & Studios is currently seeking a voluntary Co-Director to join the team for a two year term inclusive of a 6-month probationary and learning period. This is a unique leadership position and open for all to apply.

Applicants must be dedicated to the visual arts sector, supporting artists and to the artist-run ethos. Individuals will need to be passionate about working in arts organisation, have or be keen to develop new skills in administration, project management, financial management, curatorial skills, installation, education, archiving and the many roles directors must fill.

All applicants are required to be based in Galway city and commit to a weekly Board meeting on regular days. Applicants must also commit to attending most if not all programmed events and exhibition previews. Board members are required to invigilate and act as a representative of 126 during their time on the board.

Although previous experience in all areas is not essential, interested candidates are encouraged to review and consider the director criteria when making their applications. 126 Artist-Run Gallery is committed to offering equal opportunity to all applicants.
