126 shows exhibitions every month, 12 months of the year. These happen alongside our programme of events, talks and residencies. All members at 126 are welcome to apply for solo or group shows and exhibitions at 126.

Here at 126 we are committed to providing a platform for risk takers. The work that we show tests boundaries and is by-and-large non-commercial. Because we show something new every month, our visitors can enjoy a transformed space every time they visit 126.

We focus on providing exhibition opportunities for emerging artists, and are proud to be a gallery that is welcoming, encouraging anyone to take part in a dialogue with us about the work they’ve seen at 126 or the events they’ve attended. For many artists, 126 is a space they exhibit at during the early part of their career, and the support our board of directors provides is invaluable in developing their audiences.

We know that the work as show can be challenging. This is what makes 126 such an exciting space. So please, if you’re new to Galway, or our gallery space, then please feel free to approach our team members for more information, or just to say hello.

Opening Times

126 is open only when we are showing an exhibition. During these dates we are open from 12-6pm Wednesday-Sunday, or by appointment. All of our team are volunteers, and give their time for free because they love what we do.
